Welcome to the home of Sthapathi Arunachalam on the web, the 36yrs old sculptor from the famous ancient town of Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram) just off Chennai.

A qualified sculptor and architect, Arunachalam specialises in creating monuments and idols for temples and samadhis. He has many achievements to his credit in a very short span of time.

He places special emphasis on the positioning and creation of gopuram and vimanas of the temple and uses only the best of black stones from the quarries of Tamilnadu for creating idols and icons of contemporary art. His range of idols begn from the small to gigantic and he has exhibited his prowess in successfully sculpting these idols with devotion and perfection.

He has executed the construction and architecture of Rajiv Gandhis Samadhi at New Delhi. This was a very tough job and he was selected to execute the same despite stiff competition. He sourced the raw materials to construct the same from Sankarapuram and Sholingapuram close to Chennai.

He runs his own workshop from Mahabalipuram employing skilled artisans to execute orders. With his constant supervision and expert touches, he creates products of world class quality, both for the domestic and exports markets. He has exported to countries like U.K, Mauritius, Malaysia, Japan, America, Switzerland, etc.
